As some of you may have been tracking in this blog, the resource management group has been meeting and working on process to put rigor around how we align available resources (positions, effort and funds) with our strategy. Last week we had our monthly meeting to try out a couple new methods for facilitation and discussed the future of both the service desk  and security support teams. We arrived at the conclusion that we will soon be posting a new service desk agent position with Erik Zempel being the hiring manager and a new security analyst position with Jonathan Mills being the hiring manager. These positions should be posted soon and I will ask those two to make sure that the posting information is relayed.


We have some new ideas to further tune the process and how to increase the participation from other divisions within MSIS. I will be updating the charter soon with those modifications and encourage you to reach out to Jim Behm, Gary Nichols, Mary Hill, John Herlocher, Michael Warden, Brett Miller, Dan Stuart, or myself if you have any questions or interests in our efforts.
